Home » Case Studies » Solar PV & Electrical Installation for Modular Housing

Working with Starship Group, Eltom designed and installed solar PV systems across eight EPC A-rated homes, alongside full electrical installations including power, lighting, heating, ventilation and EV charging. This turnkey approach ensured smooth delivery in line with a fast-paced modular construction programme.
The systems generate significant renewable energy, with surplus exported to the National Grid—reducing carbon emissions and supporting energy-neutral living.
Part of a £1.9m regeneration project for Magenta Living, the award-winning development demonstrates how solar and modern construction can work together to deliver low-carbon, high-performance homes.
An end to end, fully project managed solution
Eltom Solar provided end-to-end support throughout the installation process.
This began with a detailed site survey, using build plans ahead of construction, followed by system design and a clear presentation to the client.
Installation was carefully aligned with the construction schedule, with the flexibility to adapt to any delays or project changes. As the modular homes were assembled on-site, the solar systems were installed in parallel.
Alongside the solar PV systems, Eltom also delivered full electrical installations across all homes, including power, lighting, heating and ventilation systems, as well as EV chargers.

Energy Generation: Each home generates an estimated 4,898.75 kWh of clean electricity annually.
Award-Winning: The scheme won Best Small New Home Development at the YM Liverpool Awards
National Spotlight: The project was featured on Channel 4’s A House with No Bills with Guy Martin
